Please see details below relating to Friday, 30 September 2016:

Grade 7,8 and 9 classes at Lakecrest have been invited to attend a special session with the British High Commissioner, and NL Government representatives etc at the Arts and Culture Centre on Friday morning. This session include the screening of the silent film "Battle of the Somme" made in 1916, paired with a recently composed piece for a symphony orchestra. The MUN Symphony orchestra will participate. Students will return to the school at about 12:00 noon.

All junior high students (7-9) are required to come to school in full dress uniform on Friday morning. During lunchtime they will change into their PE uniform for the Terry Fox walk in the PM.

As a result of this opportunity we have moved our Terry Fox walk for grades K-9 to the PM session, weather permitting. At about 1:00 p.m.students will be bused to the Terry Fox memorial and will walk back tho the school. There will be a short ceremony at the memorial and parents are welcome to attend. All students are asked to be in their PE uniforms for the walk. Outside coats etc will of course be permitted as necessary.
