This year The Home and School Association has decided to hold “Lakecrest’s 1st Annual Christmas Pop Up Shop."

This event will occur on December 3, 2015, which coincides with the parent teacher interviews. This will provide parents an opportunity to browse and shop at the fair while they are at the school to visit with the teachers. During this event we will be hosting a “Christmas Lounge” where all parents are invited to stop by and have a complimentary tea or coffee and a sweet treat courtesy of Home and School. We will also be selling tickets on a beautiful outdoor holiday planter donated and created by Karen Whalen. The planter will be displayed at school during the week of the event.

The Pop Up Shop will commence at 11am and will continue throughout the afternoon and evening. All are welcome and we encourage parents to invite family members and friends to attend the fair.

To make this a successful event we are asking parents to consider donating the following items

• baked good such as Christmas cakes, cookies, breads, muffins, and treats such as fudge, savoury snacks, and candy

• holiday baskets, e.g. Bath and beauty, chocolate, fancy biscuits/preserves, home chef, gardening, kids' baskets

• crafts such as ornaments, knitted goods, wreaths, cards, stocking stuffers. The sky is the limit if you look to Pinterest!

All items can be dropped off at Mr Pittman’s office at drop off on December 2 or on the morning of December 3.

We are also looking for volunteers who would like to be a part of the event. Some areas where you can help are

• Set up tables and assist in the Christmas lounge

• price and organize all sale items

• man the sale tables

• help tidy up at the end of the evening

Please let us know if you are interested in volunteering and what time you are available.

The sale will run from 11:00 am-4:00 pm and again from 6:00-9:00 (approximate times)

If you have any questions please contact Jenny Barker at
