Head of School Bio
Ms. Hollinshead is a British National who trained as a teacher in London England. Her career education to date has taken her across the United Kingdom, the Middle East, and Canada. Prior to joining Lakecrest, Ms. Hollinshead taught at Doha College, Qatar, a leading British International school. There, she was responsible for developing the Music Department into a recognized institution for musical activity. She also served on the Doha College Steering Committee whilst the school achieved COBIS and BSME accreditation status. At Doha College she gained administrative experiences as the Assistant Principal and later as Acting Principal. In her role as Assistant Principal, she provided leadership and training to teachers for curriculum development, outstanding classroom practices, and British Government education initiatives. During her final year at Doha college she worked as the Acting Principal for students aged 3 to 11 years. For the 5 years that she taught in England, she was appointed as Head of Department for Music, Science and the Performing Arts. Her passion for the Arts led to her appointment as Workshop Facilitator for teachers across 16 schools in the UK.
Ms. Hollinshead’s flair for music education led to her appointment by the leading music authors ‘Out of the Ark’ as a recording studio conductor, choir leader and published composer. In both the UK and Qatar, she established two adult acapella choirs, registered as charitable organisations and contributed largely to ‘Street Child Africa’. Natalie led her British choir to record and publish their performances. She has previously enjoyed and arranged popular and folk music for both adult choirs. In her free time she enjoys running, creating silk paintings and singing with local pop bands.
