House System

The first high school students of Lakecrest wanted to do something special for the schools exciting step. With that, came the House System. The Lakecrest House System consists of four houses; Ramea, Brigus, Baccalieu and Quirpon.

The house names represent towns in Newfoundland that have a spectacular lighthouse. A lighthouse represents hope, perseverance and bravery.

Throughout the year there are special assemblies and events planned for the houses to earn points. Points can be earned by showing a random act of kindness or winning an event. The house team that has the most points at the end of the year wins a special prize.
